The More Artists - Drop #01

Studio Schultz

Sophie Schultz is a Melbourne-based artist, currently finishing a degree in Intellectual Property, and with a solid background in Graphic Designs.

She has for a long time taken commission jobs  for people wanting specific concepts drawn put on a canvas with Sophie’s singular touch. For several years she has been growing in notoriety and has done collaborations with established institutions such as The Met (Metropolitan Museum of Art).

For this collaboration with The More Project, we imagined together with Sophie an artwork encapsulating the connections between people, and how they form “the thread on the fabric of our lives”. It is within the simple everyday things and that we can find so much beauty.

le raph

Raphaelle is a Parisian artist based in Berlin. In the recent years she has been navigating through different art styles, but one notion sticked out and caught our eyes, the one of movement.

This movement is not one that is created by one, but one that is surges on one. With Raphaelle, we are exploring how the external environment impacts someone’s internal environment.

The drawing done by le raph with a charcoal took place in Lanzarote, when she was working as a carer in an animal shelter, living through a rough schedule, and reconnecting with herself and with Lanzarote’s beautiful nature. On the overshirt, the patterns of the front represent the shapes of the rocky mountains Raphaëlle saw as she was waking up, and the moving bodies in the back are the true reflection of how easily sensitive to the external but also internal environment we are.

Pogo

Robin aka Pogo describes himself as a non-recurring artist, letting his spirit wander by itself, when he feels a need to draw/scribble/write “bullshit”.

He never had any drawing classes, but benefited from the lectures of two professional street artists when he was younger, and he always kept this previous knowledge with him. And so his artistic approach isn’t “disciplinary” at all, and solely depends on his state of mind and current desires.

The trademark that we see with Pogo’s drawings are the alien, accompanied by subtle scribbles and created languages put into calligraphy, always making the people’s eyes pay close attention to all the present details, who will get love to discover new details at ever look they give.

For this collaboration, Pogo let his creative spirit speak alone, and came up with three exquisite exclusive designs for the overshirt: a map, an alien, and a witch, all accompanied by tens of smaller drawing composing unique labyrinthine pieces.
